about us

Day for Liv began as a heartfelt tribute to Olivia — a remarkable young woman whose kindness, courage, and community spirit continue to inspire everyone who knew her. What started as a small annual netball day has grown into a passionate community movement dedicated to raising sarcoma awareness and creating meaningful change within the community. Through events, fundraising initiatives, and genuine community connection, Day for Liv brings people together to support important causes, uplift those doing it tough, and continue Liv’s legacy through generosity, compassion, and kindness.

About Liv
Liv was a vibrant and determined young woman whose kindness, strength, and infectious smile left a lasting impact on everyone she met. A talented netball player and swimmer, she faced her Osteosarcoma diagnosis in 2018 with extraordinary courage and resilience. Despite the challenges of intensive treatment and surgery, Liv remained compassionate, positive, and full of spirit. Day for Liv was inspired by her remarkable life and continues to honour the courage, kindness, and determination she showed every day.
What is Day For Liv?
Day for Liv began in July 2022 as part of the Grafton Netball Association Saturday Winter Competition, where a special rainbow round was created by Liv’s family, friends, and the GNA community to honour Olivia Rogers, a vibrant 16-year-old whose kindness, energy, and love of netball left a lasting impact on so many people. In 2022 Liv’s Wall was unveiled at the GNA Clubhouse, celebrating Liv’s love of netball, her friendships, and the joy she brought to those around her.
In 2026, Day for Liv will expand into a standalone gala netball day, bringing the community together for a fun-filled social carnival celebrating connection, kindness, and community spirit.
Day for Liv is love in action, colourful, community-driven, and committed to carrying Liv’s light forward.
